Can anyone tell me if this is anything???

I was walking in the fields behind my barn and found what seems to be Cannabis!?. It sure looks like it but all my pot smoking buddies are saying they dont think so... Can anyone ID this stuff!!! Lots of white hair and yellowish brown flowers???

That is most definitely NOT cannabis. A potentilla, maybe? (No, I'm not kidding or making that up. I know my wild herbs, is all.) Here- PLANTS Profile for Potentilla glandulosa (sticky cinquefoil) | USDA PLANTS

There is some variation in the species foliage, but the common name is cinquefoil, meaning 5 leaf from the 5 leaflets the leaves have.

Anyway, DO NOT SMOKE IT!!! You might consider getting a field guide to plants of your area. Might save you some hassles. - Granny

Yep I believe you are right!!!

Potentilla recta L.
I was skeptical at first at Cinquefoil but Potentilla recta is definitly it... Boooo.... Thanks though!!!
