Yes, you can use the three month continuous feed Merical Grow. Just don't add anything to the soil -- no fertilizers, nothing.

allright! thanks for the help. also, another question about fertilizer...... i have horses, and my parents have composted their shit extremley, so its pretty nice i think. would that be okay to grow them in?

Sounds like too much fertilizer for those poor little ladies.

Keep in mind there are nutrients in the seed and even more in the soil (especially the miracle grow slow release stuff) to last the first month of the plant's life.

Imagine feeding a baby 10 pounds of ribs.

Poor thing wouldn't do too well.

NO NO NO AND NO!!!!
MG is bad for seedlings and bad for soil. It makes the soil have alot higher acidic content and in the end causes alot of problems root rot etc...
Now MG for outdoors isnt bad because it has no bucket to keep the acid in so it drains and works suprisingly well but for indoors NO NO...

If growing indoors I would get some soil with nothing added, plagron is good.
You will probably also want to add some perlite for drainage and oxygen.

Horse manure is a great organic soil.
You can also put some horse manure into a barrel(I use a 50 Gallon Drum) about 25% full of manure and then add some water just enough to cover it up. Dont cap the barrel rain water is wanted also.
In a few days you will see it bubbling/working.
This is a good and cheap Nutrient method. You may have to use a fert meter to make sure its not to strong to add to plants it may have to first be deluted.

NOTE: With using Horse Manure be careful make sure you have added perlite to it. Manure doesnt drain well and without perlite it can cause problems.
Also if the manure has worms in it be sure to NEVER use it because your plants will get worms and they are hard to get ride of.
