Superthrive organic?

I was concerned my plant wasn't gonna grow. She sprouted a few days ago but the leaves didn't fold out till today. It looked like a little water tower or something for a few days. See, I had a sprout before that I transplanted that did that but just died, and didn't ever leaf out. So, I've decided to go as organic as possible with this grow. The plant is in Fox Farms Ocean Forest and I use RO for water. I'm gonna get some of that Alaskan Fish Fertilizer for veggin' and try some molasses during flower. But I'm kinda wondering about using my Superthrive. Is that stuff really organic? The label says it has 1-Naphthyl acetic acid in it, so I'm wondering about that organic thing. Most organic additives advertize big time all over their labels about being organic. That stuff don't.

Hey, I'm not sure about superthrive being organic, but if you're growing from seed and possibly even with new clones, you shouldn't start them out in Ocean forest. The soil has too much fertilizer in it and it will kill your seedlings.

Start seedlings in Jiffy Peat Pellets, they have just enough nutes in the peat to grow seedlings. You can grow them in these for about week or untill you see roots coming out, and then you can easily transfer them to your pots. There real cheap too.

there's a better alternative for veggin' than alaska fish.its good stuff, but it stinks to high heaven;even the deoderized types.look into maxicrop liquified seaweed.or anything kelp.kelp grows up to a foot per day in nature.I've been using it in veg. with liquid karma with superb results

I just have to say, not always true. I guess depending on the strain... Ocean forest is fine. I Grew Haze Skunk from seed in Ocean forest and they LOVED it. I also fed them Gh 3 part nutrients on top of that since week one.

I would advise strongly against using superthrive. I grow in hydro and we used this stuff for the first time on this grow. We tried first with adding it to the nutrient mix in very very small quantities so that it would help growth. Growth did not speed up, nor was the nutrient solution unhampered either. The nutrient solution got disgusting very quickly and smelled horrible and was very chunky. Superthrive smells vaguely reminescent to urine and I wouldn't doubt it has urine in it. Our second test consisted of pouring superthrive directly on the rockwool cube in the hydro basket and this killed the plant over night. I probably used a bit much, but in terms of marijuana and any type of horticulture, I don't think any product should possess enough potency that is kills a plant over night. Never helped me so I will never use it again!

superthrive...good

I use superthrive when cloning new ladies,i have a 100 per cent success rate on clones, using a aquarium on its side w/a waterbed heating pad underneath ,aquarium "plant grow flourscents" on top and vaporizers in the front...but use the thrive at half strength for your inital watering, your babes will rock!10 day transplants!!!!

oh yea i use the jiffy pellets too,...just rember to cut the gauze stuff around them before you plant em'so the roots can rock out, otherwise you end up doing MAJOR surgery when you transplant, the little roots cant grow through that stuff, not well anyway, good luck

Super thrive is wonderful stuff if used properly. From day 1 I like to use 1 drop/ gallon, and guarantee you it does boost growth by just a touch, a touch for a cheap product is worth it to me.
On another note Fox farms ocean forest is wonderful soil, even for seedlings. Though I have heard of a few people having minor problems with seedlings in it, so some strains may not like it. I have planted many seeds in that very soil, and had great germination rates, with wonderful healthy growth all the way through. It's really good soil, if you dont know how/ dont want to mix your own soil (My preference).
This has been my experience with these 2 products, I love em!

I've used superthrive only a couple of times,it seemed to work well for me.(that was indoors).Like the fellow aussie says though, use the basics.cow/horse/sheep shit works well, add a bit of MG and bang, you have a delightful next 12 months of smoking some of the best home grown..and remember smoke and fly-"it's not how big the plants get,it's the quality that counts"

I am using it with No adverse Affects or signs that the plants don't like it. They seem to love it during Transplants, when I flush off the roots with 1/8 Superthrive, 1 gallon PH Water. Just use Half of the Reccomended does or they will die. Almost killed My BigBud using too much. ~ Happy Greens Brotha
