Not to steal this thread, but a question to be tied into the original.... if you have a seedling and it is at its 5th node.... and some how it gets cut off just above the bottom node.... will it survive? Reason I ask is I have my three sitting on my back porch and my wife took our toddler out to play and he got two at the same place.... the third has managed to avoid his attacks so far....
Thanks

no pix yet, but the first one that got topped... and yeah, the node closest to the dirt was left.... the first one to get topped has started to sprout a new node so I think it is going to pull through, but the other one is not sprouting anything.... yet, and the two leaves that are left on it are starting to turn yellow....
Question about watering... is it cool to water while the sun is on them? or you need to wait until it is dark (before or after sunrise/sunset)?

yea its fine to water when the sun is on them.....i just wouldnt foliar spray them because the water droplets can act as a magnifying glass and burn spots on to your plant if the sun is intense enough.
