I still tell if there are signs of sex yet. If at all possible, check your camera for a "Macro" setting, which lets you take picture really close up of things. In one of your pictures it looks like it might be a hermi, but without getting closer, I can't tell for sure. The higher up on the plants you look, the easier it will be to tell. By the 6th or 7th node, you should be able to tell.

The plant in the first picture: it looks like nute burn. Stop using the nutrients immediately, and just flush the nutes out with water. That's my guess, since you aren't using CFLs or anything to burn them.

Regardless, your other plants look great. Very healthy. They may be a bit yellow-ish....check some of the other threads to see what that means (i.e. too much K, Ph, etc.). I'm no expert by any means, of course.

I really wouldn't worry about trying to sex them if they are being shy Just keep doing what you're doing and eventually you'll be able to tell. It took 2 months for one of my grows to sex the plants...I just couldn't tell.

Keep it going!

Wow thanks for getting back with me so fast. I dont have the setting on my camara. Its a piece of crap. If you open the pic in a different aplication you can zoomit on your computer. Probly im using to much fert. thats for sure. I guess i feel like everyone on here is feeding something and thats what made me do it. I guess its what im using thats hurting them. Just not the right stuff.

But i think its really helping the ones i have planted in the ground. I mix it weak and they seem happy. I need to keep some soapy water on em becouse the bugs are eating the heck out of them. But, there still growing. One is about 2 feet and the rest are close. 3 are small but nice and green.

Thanks again and il get some pic's up after i see some really good growth.

OK I GOTTA PROBLEM NOW

Ok i checked these just the other day and the bottems were sorta brown because of bugs. They were getting ate up. So i was putting soapy water on them. On the same day i gave them the fert i mentioned above. What happen the fert, or the soap? Im not using the fert anymore because i was advised not to. I guess i thought i needed something to boost the growth. I think they said it was to strong. So what can i use thats not so strong that might help the growth? Any ideas would help please, thanks

Also is the soap hurting the plants, its just dish soap.
I will get a closer pic Sunday

you should use neem oil instead of soapy water for the bugs.

And clear the grass, no pun intended, away from the plants. Its competing for the nutrients and are winning by virtue of abundance.

Thanks for the advise

I think iv burned them up with the fert i was using. Also, there are only select times when i can water or care for them. So, what i did is over fertalize while the sun was baking them. I tried to not get anything on the plant but, i did, then did something even more stupid. I put the soapy water on them and the sun just burned them up with the combination of the both.

I watered them early as i could the next day after the little bit of rain we did get. I soaked each plant with straight well water. They did look better then the pictures which i took the day before. I think the rain helped them perk up. And im hoping my attemt of a wash will help. I plan to go to straight water till they get back to better health. My problems with the advise which im glad to get it that is pulling weeds and clearing my area is i use a wheelchair. Now im going to try something. Im pretty creative when i comes to adapting. I am trying to independently do this grow. I had to have a friend put them in the ground, which they were put in way to shallow and i had him come back and put them in deeper. After this they took off. But i really want to do everything i can myself. The issue with the Neem oil is im so broke i cant pay attention. I wonder if there is some around the house. Iv only heard of it being used on here. Also, iv heard the soapy water is something good to use. The thing is, i gotta use something for bugs. They are really bad and are just eating away my leaves. I think that applying it in direct sun light was my problem. I will be posting pics today of the 3 i have in pots, which 2 look great and the other may be a hermy. Also, Im going to get new pics of the damaged plants. I just know they have recoverd from my over fert. and applying soapy water with the sun beating on them<just stupid!

It seems that i do so much better in pots then in the ground.

So this would be my best plant thus far. I topped it after the 3rd node and a branch took off. Iv been topping each site to produce more bud. Im no expert, but like to experiment. So far she looks nice

I really like this plant. I have a yellow leaf but i was over ferting them i believe. I hope my snipping isnt causing this yellowish thing.

Burned up in the woods

Well water and more water in the last two days has helped out. They are more green and are growing. As long as i dont over fert or find a different fert, i think il be ok. If ya stare at them long enough you will see them in the weeds. I know i need to clear the weeds, but i havent figured out how yet.

lookin good...
nutes can be a pain.

i read read read about growing.. i never really liked reading lol
but its helped me alot.
this site has so much useful info.

i think the ones in the pot that u have maybe gettting routbound, i know if u was to put them in the ground or a bigger pot u will see growth pretty fast if ur careful when transplanting.

i couldnt tell any signs of sex from the pix.
good pix btw, i use a crappy cell cam, cant take close pix.

i top after the 4th or 5th node, then let about 4 nodes or more grow, then top again. sometimes topping to much to quick will stress/slow down growth.

When the winter comes, then that's when you move the project indoors!

Happy growing!

Thanks for stopping by

Well i repotted one of them because it fell off the deck, which was a good thing because the bitch i live with wouldnt let me use some of her soil. But then she had too. It looks great. Iv been creating bud sites by topping method and i have a bunch. Iv been waiting a couple of days to LST. Im planing to do this today. Also, the funky one in the yellow container im going to put in the ground when my friend comes out today. The last one needs put in a larger pot. I re pot them when i feel like there is a nice canopy. The smaller one needs a bit more growth. My plants in the ground are ate up. I put some soap on them and burned them up, but they are looking much better. I dont have much cash but will be ready for next year Il put LST pic up later today

Your grow looks nice Stoner, im keeping an eye on it, peace

And thanks for stopin by Italiano. I wish i could grow inside. I use a wheelchair and cant get to the basement. But i wish cuz its really nice down there with its all finished walls. It was a poured basement. My house is only 7 years old. So, nice and clean with no leaks

Where is the rain?

Plant 1. Didnt get to LST. I dug a hole and put it in my garden. Took over an hour and kicked my ass. It was the 1st plant in this thread. It out grew the pot and after i looked in the container there was built up nutes on one side. Not enough drainage. Plus every pistil that grew dried up and died.

Plant 2. This one has been re-potted 3 times and I think needs a bigger one. It would be much easier if i knew what strian im working with. All the reading pays off tho, because im begining to see my own problems. Feels good too. Its nice to know how to create new bud sites. The thing is, as i create action on top, its making the roots work harder and grow more. I just dont want to do to much and make a hermi. I know stress is something that can cause one. But, how much, is how much? I guess its all about making mistakes. The two in my avitar turned hermi. It was my 2nd grow. The bud sites on this plant looks nice, but when do i stop creating them? Its not been in this pot but a week and its out growing it already. Any ideas?

Plant 3. I think im going to put er in a bigger pot. This one was my smallest plant but is looking pretty sweet. As soon as it drys out im going to re-pot it. I thought about putting it in my garden, like plant #1. But then i cant get close enough to it. I like to get close to inspect new growth and over all health. And also, i guess you could throw in a bit of obsession lol I think il re-pot and grow awhile till i make up my mind. I didnt top it in time. I was to busy with the other two and tryin to figure out problems with my crop in the wild. Its the ferts that are hard for me to get down. Then again i only have cheep crap that someone said it would make my weed taste like crap. I stop using it, but now im mixing it weak and only once a week if i feel like im not getting the growth i believe i should be.

Ok my people here are some pics that look pretty good to me. Yes i have some yellow in the second one. I re-potted it last weekand feed it the week nutes. I mixed up some epsem salt, but chickened out to use it, so i put it on a bonsai tree im training. Made the thing greener too. Oh well peace

but from the looks of ur pix, they are doin great!!

pots are def. a good way to grow b/c easier access and prolly keeps some of the insects away if they aren't with grass n trees..etc

i was wondering if the ones in your default pic went hermie b/c it may have needed a bigger pot? i know some1 who has a real bonzai tree and they have really small pots but are wide. i have no idear.

i'm thinkin u may not need to top as much or if at all once they start flowering. somethin i read, but folks have different opinions.

I toppped one today that had sum nice white hairs near the tops.
only one like that out of the 5 that are female so far. the rest are showing hairs closer to the middle of the plant.

topping scares me sometimes, but i've always done it. I'm letting one of my younger ones just grow normal, no topping.

Very nice pics! Nice job putting the plants in the ground, it sounded like it was hard work. Plants look mostly green, and if you are giving them fresh soil with no nutes, they should get pretty healthy again soon.

I personally don't use nutes anymore, because my plants have always been too sensative. Even if I use a minimal amount, I don't see any difference in plant growth, and I start to see some yellowing or browning. My last 2 grows (outdoors, though) have been solely water and good soil, and I've grown some very nice plants.

If you're looking for a bigger pot, they have some big 5-gallon buckets at Home depot or Lowes for $2-3. Make sure you get the grey or black ones, as the white ones will let too much light through to the roots, which isn't good for the roots. Drill some holes at the bottom for drainage. The buckets will be plenty big so you won't have to re-pot them. The only issue would be the weight of carrying it. But if that's a problem, just don't fill up the bucket to the top with soil; do it halfway and add more when needed.

Hey man thanks for stoppin by. The plants in the default pic went hermi because 1st off i was plucking leaves off to smoke. I also thought that if i did this it would cause the plant to produce more, by all its energy consitrating on more growth. Plus i was broke and the leaves took the edge off Also, the bitch i live with threw them off the deck in the middle of the night. She was all drunk like always. Someone came in my room and told me and sure enough they were all out of the grow box it was in laying in the yard. The next day i got up and she stuck em back in and put em back on the deck. I taped the stalk which bent in half and a branch that broke. But it was filled with roots. I didnt plan the grow, just put 4 seeds in and they took off like a race. Two grew and two didnt. Its what got me into all this. Those 2 plus a premo plant in back woods lasted me 8 months. Free smoke for that long w/o having to pay, wow Tasted pretty nasty, but helped with the pain. So, i started to read and never stopped. I read every day. It was a great learning experience. I would love to grow it for people who use it for medical purposes and just keep them in weed for free. I would move today if i could do this. Any place. Id live in a shack if i could move. I live in a new house too, with a no interest loan. Its just in her name too, so i cant boot her. Or i would. Growing is my therapy One plant would grow in that thing perfect, but didnt use it this year. I hope to re-pot the smaller one if i can get a pot from her. If so you will see it on here tonight. Peace man. When are ya going to get more pics up on your thread?

Wow no nutes i would love it not to have to worry about that. I bought soil that said it has a natural fert in it. Im not sure of it because i dont have a grasp on the feeding stuff. If i can use it, that means being able to use a pot that is, because there are a ton of pots here, but some how are claimed by someone eles. I just at this time dont have a couple of bucks. The freak i live with dont believe in feeding her daughter or paying bills, so thats where i come inThe plan is to move after the grow season, but i really dont want to give up my house.
I just will not use any fert to see how the growth goes. I directions says it stablalizes the ph. I really do not know what this means? It says "contains 65%-75% forest compost products and Canadian Sphagnum peat moss and 5% pertite clay wetting agent." From what iv read the first plant that is in the garden, I used old soil, plus over fert and not to mention not enough drainage. Thats what reading has done for me. But it seems happy so far in the garden
Thanks for stopping by again and the advise i will alway use.

I think they look pretty good, a slight yellow, but that isn't anything that can't be fixed. Overall your doing a hell of a job for the situation your in. Sometimes budget grows work and sometimes they crash. In your case it's working well.

Nature is a wonderful thing my friend. Take advantage of that. Unless of course, you have rabbits and shit that like to eat it up. In that case, I'd pull out the ol' trusty 22' and sit on my porch and wait.
