I'd never mess with someone's outdoor grow, with one exception: if I found an outdoor grow on MY property, that would put me at risk, and I'd probably take it if it was close to harvest, or just kill 'em off. That happened to my brother once, he found some plants growing on his land, close enough to harvest. He got a pound or a pound and a half out of it and felt no guilt. Guerilla grows are cool, but if you're gonna do it, use public land, not someone else's private property.

I remember when I was like 9 years old me and a friend found a weed plant growing like 40 feet away from this trail by his cottage, and even at that age we knew what it was. We basically went up to it and stole a leaf each and thought we were total badasses. But other then that we left it alone and went back to his place.

If it happened again today I really don't know what I'd do... =/

i remember not last summer but the summer before, i was rambling through the forest next to a powerstation by my house, and as i came out of the bushes there was some guy just knelt down watering and pruning about fifteen plants, i waited in the shadows for a few minutes before confronting him, i just walked up and stood next to him, i went to say hello, and he just flipped out and dropped everything and stood up, he looked SO sketched out, so i was like, 'dont worry man, my lips are sealed, nice plants tho,' he just started smiling and actually offered me a plant to keep quiet, i didnt know the first thing about growing then, and thought it was really hard to grow weed, so i passed up the offer, from then on i tried to discourage my friends from going near the plants (obviously without telling them) and never went back myself, i actually saw the guy driving his car the other week, im not sure if he recognized me, but i reckon if i reminded him one day he'd be like 'hey your that kid!' and i'd be like 'yeh.... ...im that kid' and it would be a great moment lol anyway, if the same thing happened nowadays, id probably ask if i could put a few of my own plants in, i wouldnt want to take them... that is a cruel thing to do indeed....

I am not saying I would take anyone's plant because I would never do that but if you plant things on public or open property that is just plain a chance you take. I certainly wouldn't plant things where other people have access to them and wouldn't be surprised if someone else who discovered them made off with them either. All I hear from September thru October is helicopters flying around keeping their eyes open...it's part of the ballgame.

OMG I live close enough to a major hospital to be on the life-flite path... choppers going by ALL the friggin' time...freaks me out even though I know 99% of the choppers are just medivacs...

Well you certainly make a good point--scum is scum no matter what. I'm just saying I wouldn't be shocked if some scum happened by my grow. We have medivac choppers too and just to make you more paranoid what if the medivac were carrying an injured DEA man or something? Double trouble!!

this year my crop was not found- I have had plants stolen- several years back my brother and I had over 30 plants that we cared for the entire growing season- the day we went to cut we noticed some footprints in the mud- not ours - all but one plant was missing- we found the culprit- he was selling the weed to friends - the ripoff artist ending up being a close friend of my brothers- unfortuantely my brother had been bragging about our bumper crop and the thief actually followed my brother for several days until he was led to field-

stinky your definitely right on this issue, just think if the shoe was on the other foot, if it was your crop that was getting ripped because you look like some dumbass hill billy redneck, sure wouldn't feel good. These people risked their freedom to grow that crop and your just going to rob them of it. Bad karma will certainly come to you, be sure of that.

i lost an entire crop about 4 years ago... medicine for a well know dry winter. if i ever catch that son of a bitch.....

and goddamn, if stinky says "don't take them" and you do, wellllll, let's just say it'd be like karma times a million and a half!!!!

ok, wow, this is some reeely good stuff... as has been said... as fellow smokers, leave it be... chances are you'll get to try it soon enough anyway (most of it goes into local circulation)

Never take another man's stash. The only time it is ok is when it is on YOUR property but even then taking the whole crop is wrong maybe a plant or two is ok, call it rental fee of the space. That would be the only time i would pull from someone elses grow. Even then i'd probably go out and water it and if they came along strike up a deal to help care in return for a couple plants as a rental fee. if it's public property or in some one else's back yard hell no leave it alone. That's just rude crude and very unacceptable. I haven't had any outside plants stolen I'll be pissed and start watching even closer and end up using anti ripoff technology.
Just remember how would you feel if you stash came up short or missing?

you know if its on your property you can pretty much do whatever you want but think that most would probably remove them, probably well before flowering even started if spotted soon enough, and its probably not worth the risk to any property owner that probably has their own outdooor or indoor grow going on.

haha nah fuck that... i'd probably wait around for someone to turn up, then i'd just exchange seeds, growing advice, clones, growing spots... whatever, it would be great to find someone round this area who cares and knows as much about weed as me.... i could sit for hours chattin with someone like that... and it would be cool to share a good growing spot with someone sound...

We are all growers and we should respect each other the same. there's nothing wrong with sharing ideas, advice, learning something from one another. Remember when it comes down to it. its us (the growers) the them (everyone else) If i found you in my grow I'd ask what you were doing there and probably enlist your aide in caring for the plants and share the harvest.

if it was my property I'd probably be growing anyway, if the plants were posing a risk of getting me busted then yeah I'd do something. better to lose a couple plants then a whole crop. I prefer to align with smart growers not stuped busters. but then i'd like to think we all do.

Maybe they are growing a few plants to sell.

Remember too that one of the obstacles to the legalization of cannabis is the theft, violence, and general dishonesty that can spin off of it. When tokers can be ethical and all get along without stealing each others' stashes, and then having the snots beat out of them for it, the case becomes stronger that it is a relaxing and peaceful way to alter your perceptions.

So when you stumble on a plant in the woods, remember that as a toker, you are part of this community. Just leave it there for the person who grew it.

yea i see your point. what i would do is leave a note pinned right next to the plant that said got any advice ur plants r sexy. and become bud buddies.then u both can grow and take guard shifts and u both can have a good harvest just like the pilgrims happy thanksgiving lol.
