On the evening news tonight they showed a cop in TX stopped a young fellow on way to Emergency clinic with a teacup poodle that was choking. The video is all over the news from the cops patrol car. He told the guy his dog was replaceable to forget it. As the dog laid in the back seat and slowly died!

That fucker!! He is trained in Heimlick, everyone has to know how to help a choking dog! Other cops have done it! (they are trained to do it to police dogs!) Or, they will give them a police escort to the clinic! He was so mean to the guy. The guy talked and looked about 20 yrs old, maybe!

The cop was yelling at him, to hell with the dog and you can buy another one, etc! What a fuck!

I had 1 of my dogs die around 5 years ago and the cops didn't wanna help me eather. so I truly know just how they feel.

Hydro, were u hydronating and forget to post the interview with the ppl? So, sorry for your loss, I know how you feel! I love dogs, even more than most people. Most people don't care for me and laugh at me for taking such good care of my little ones. Hey, it is unconditional love! I like it!

I saw a few interviews, but none showing the little one, except a live picture, prior to incident.

It really touched me. Mostly because the Cops have Dogs and it is my understanding they are all trained to resusitate a police dog and if this one was choking, he could have helped. Instead of telling them "YOu can get a new dog!"

I have treated dogs in a people ER, cause that is where some people end up. Not many will, so don't try it!

The dog was so cute! That officer, so mean, wonder what he'd do if it were a person. Just seemed like his heart was made of stone. Got off with 'counselling'.

A little dog in your lap or licking a tear can be more soothing than mmj! Poor little farts, they don't have a clue. You can walk out the door and right back in and they are always happy to see you! They become like a child to you, even if you have one (for some of us).

My doggies have been rocking my world for 25 years and I would never choose differently! Except, it seems, some people on this forum, just might make it a difficult decision.

I just cannot believe that cop didn't destroy his camera, since he filme himself! Idiot! More ways than one. Guess, he'd get in more trouble destroying public property than someone's little precious puppy!

u know, i think we could have a military police for a week all around the nation, that is have military be the police and make the police join the public getting no different treatment, maybe that ought to teach the police and remind them about who they are and who they were supposed to be

my feelings go out to both ppl here who lost their dogs and got no help

i never owned a dog, my neighbors did back in my home country in the country-side and even though they were my neighbors dogs, they treated me as owner/friend so did i... they were so sweet and i got really pissed @ my neighbor for letting his dogs go astray when they got some skin disease instead of cashing out to cure them. although vet services there are not as abundant as here, but still, he could have at least euthanized the poor thing not just let him out in dangerous world to suffer and eventually get hit by a car or somethin
