Leaves curling downward usually indicates overfeeding. I've never grown in soil so I can't be of much more assistance.

If I were to grow cannabis, I would only do so to supply myself and my close friends. Doing this would take myself and my friends out of harms way by knowing the source of our cannabis, as well as take hundreds of thousands of dollars off the black market annually. It would also lower the demand of black market cannabis, and would ultimately help keep cannabis out of the hands of minors.

some information i should have added:
I flipped these to 12/12 on October 13. Started watering with micro:5ml/gal, grow:4ml/gal, bloom:12ml/gal, On Oct 18 (so happy i keep a grow journal w/ full details, just for this reason) i increased the micro to 6ml/gal. Not much of an increase from 25ml to 30ml per 5 gallons, but thought it would be important to note here.

Noticed leaf clawing on October 24.

Yesterday I added 2.5 gallons of clean water (plus 5ml/gal of hygrozyme) @ ph 6.3. I did the same today as well, soil seemed dry and light. i intend to water without nutes for the next couple of waterings. not sure if this will be a solution.

I've read that clawed leaves will not correct in their deformity. How will I know when it is safe to begin adding nutrients again?

more info: While the picture I attached seems pretty drastic, the majority of the plant is thriving. Seems that the clawed leaves are bud leaves, while the fan leaves are all healthy. More drastic on lower growth. The color in the pictures is not accurate, the leaves are all green and look healthy in color (aside from clawing). Tips and edges are not burnt, and they are not dry or breaking.

I'd say the clean waterings are a good idea. In my experience in hydro, the curled leaves will be consumed by the plant and dry up rather than return to normal. Just be sure to watch the new growth. Hopefully a dirt grower can give you more help than I have been able to provide.

Hmmmm... if it's just one area of the plant I would look very closely for some type of infestation under the leaves. Could be mites or similar critters that suck the juice from your leaves.

I tested the runoff: 6.3 going in, 5.2 coming out.

I've never used sunshine #4 substrate, I've always grown hydro w/ rockwool and hydroton. A friend of mine that has used #4 for years told me to treat is as hydro because it is not actually a soil. Does anyone have any experience with this substrate?

Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Not much advice yet, but I've still been going with no nutes.

On my strawberry cough, i am noticing some leaf yellowing starting in the veins. On larger top leaves. is this a deficiency?
