Is it normal that one plant has more pistils than the other one?

I got two plants outdoors and whilst one of them has on each future bud about 4 to 8 pistils, the other one which is (now that I think about it...) fairly younger than the other one, has pistils only on the top bud but the others are almost pistils-free (about 2 pistils per future bud, sometimes none).

Is that normal? If they're outdoors shouldn't they have flowered at the same time?

Also if I chose to make seeds I should go with the one that flowered earlier, right?

    Have a nice day!

Here it's ok to plant outdoors now. I mean NOW you'd be a little late, but I planted when I was supposed to plant.

I got a male that was outdoors but I put it in a room with normal light (I wouldn't grow anything there, though) to prevent it from pollinating my girls. Two days later its first pollen sac opened hahaha. I was lucky there.

Well... do you think that judging by those pictures, it would be an appropriate time to pollinate one of those buds? Or should I wait more until it's more developed?

They're some seeds that a friend of mine gave me, they produce fucking amazing weed but they're a loooong time mixture between good seeds (probably 10 years and many different strains) so now we got no idea of what their name is but they're awesome hahaha.

wait till your buds are a bit bigger, about the size of a coin before pollenating, then you will have seeds in the bottom of the bud, but not the top!!!

That little trick I picked up from OldHaole's thread, and gave a shot on one bud of my white widow,.... worked like a charm!

ten year old seeds without proper storage can loose their luster, but like i always say wtf canna is right though wait a little for them cluster more. another tip: cut some pollen balls(ouch) and dust the buds you want seed, you might get some stray seeds however mostly contained.

I meant that this guy started buying seeds about 10 years ago, and has made his own crosses and stuff. Just to say something, maybe he started with super skunk, then he crossed it with a white widow, then a super skunk again, next season he bought purple skunk and crossed it too... well you get the idea. So now we have no idea what the strain's name is but it's amazing.

Here the harvest is in april btw =P so they got time to grow bigger.

I've been collecting pollen and pollen sacs in a plastic bag, I plan on using a paint brush to pollinate one of their buds.

Ah btw! I examined the male plant and it turns out it's hermaphrodite. Hermaphrodite pollen is any good? Or it doesn't really matter? What if it autopollinates itself? Will the seeds be feminized?

oh, ok i gotchya. good deal with the brush technique. as far as hermie pollen (im no breeder), breeding is a lot of hit and misses and thats where selective breeding comes in. hundreds and /or thousands are grown out and isolated for specific traits. then they are backcrossed or hybrydized or both. now lets say you have a clone and no seeds...and you wanted to sell that seed line, one could force a hermie and use that pollen on another cut of that same plant to create female seeds. so in this regard i believe hermie pollen an acceptable scource. of course variations and possible hermi tendencies are to be expected. i have a couple of crosses that were topshelf, however random.

    Yes. I'll be patient =P

The thing is that there's a saying around here about a certain month of the year where you are supposed to harvest... well whatever.

I'm kind of scared, though. That plant (now starting to grow more hairs... but still no flowering), is now about... 6' tall, I'm scared because it'll grow even more when it starts flowering and then I have nowhere to hide it just in case...
