Thread: Can someone tell me what the think this is ?

I haven't been fertilising much this time around but could this be an over nute issue ?

Some other leaves are going light green. Is it a nitrogen deficiency already ? I'm only in the first month of bloom...

Maybe I need a more powerful fertiliser ?

What is your feeding schedule and where are the issues at top, bottom, middle? Could be plenty of thing man, too much water over fert under fert or bugs. Can ya fill out the trouble form.

I haven't filled out the problem form as I'm way way way too hungover... no excuse but I'm dying here ! There are a few things it can't be: heat, humidity, air circulation, fresh air, bugs, over watering or under watering. It can only be the soil, I just don't know what it is...

This particular strain is different to the rest, it's either Chronic or Big Bang 2... I was also told that it isn't uncommon for the large fan leaves to start eating in to their nitrogen supply even at 4 weeks of flowering...

All the plants have had the same feedings and the other three are near perfect. I am noticing some leaves with burned tips so I think it could be an over nute issue.

I gave that plant a flushing just now so over the next few days I'll have a good idea what's going on. The buds are forming unbelievably fast ! The LED and CFL combo is blowing my mind !

I was nowhere near this amount of bud in my last grow, well, at this particular time anyway. I'll keep a close eye on the small bud leaves for yellowing... I was told that this is really bad !
I have noticed some of the smaller 6 inch leaves turning a light green.

So this is telling me it could be a nitrogen deficiency... I'm getting some mixed signals here. My temps are around 80F with the lights on and off they are around 71F.

I don't think it could be heat stress with those temps, and also I use 4 x 65 CFL which are 1 - 2 inches away from the plants, and my 190w LED is at a good safe height not to bleach.

I'll take a photo of a couple of leaves to look back on in a couple of days.

I dont miss them hangovers thats for sure bro, i am not much of a drinker. My ex had a problem with the stuff and it just turn me off, not that i will not have a few but not like i used to.

Man i would bet ya your roots are in a mucky mess of water and soil. I had this issue with seedlings and the newer growth was ok, but the older stuff got yellow. And as much as your flushing, i can see a bunch of wet goo so your roots can not breath. If you hadn't flushed again you could have pulled her out to look at the roots, but now i would just wait for a few days. One thing you could do is drill some holes in the pot about 5'' from the bottom. You may have water come out, but cant hurt a thing as it will only give more air to the roots and i would put them all around the pot. You really never need to flush till about 2 weeks before harvest in less you have an issue, but you dont know yours yet. So flushing may just hurt the plant more as the buds will grow stealing everything from its leaves and yes its true that a plant in flower will begin to take the Nitrogen from the fan leaves first. And if ya take it till the tric's are really a dark amber color the entire plant should be yellow, but not all droopy like that. So just in my opinion i would consider pulling her out to look at the roots, but not now it will stress her to much, rather when she drys out you can pull her out without the stress. Trust me man iv re potted more damn bonsai tress and MJ without a bit of stress yet a lot of people always thinks it will stress them. I think in my Sig there is a ''how to'' for re potting and i took pics real time if you read it you will see just how fast and good the plant looks after my re pot. Oh and the heat if anything could be a bit more warm the best temt to grow MJ is 86 degrees, check out Oldmac's theads at RH that dude knows his shit and has been all over the world man so if he says its true, he tested it and its the truth, lol.

Galvinized nail in the soil for 1-2 weeks for the zinc problem.

Avoid excessive ammonium nitrogen, which can interfere with other nutrients. Too much N delays flowering. Plants should be allowed to become N-deficient late in flowering for best flavor.
A goof solid N-P-K ratio will fix any nitrogen deficiency. Any chemical or organic fertilizers that have Nitrogen in them will fix a nitrogen deficiency., Peters all purpose plant food 20-20-20 is good, Miracle grow All purpose plant food, Miracle grow Tomato plant food, (Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients, or it will cause nutrient burn!) as well and blood meal! If you need to give your plants a quick solution to nitrogen and you want to use blood meal, I suggest making it into a tea for faster use, where blood meal is slow acting, but when made into a tea it works quicker! Other sources of nitrogen are dried blood, Cotton seed meal which is slow acting, Insect eating bat guano which is fast acting. Bone meal which is a gradual absorption when not made into a tea.( also excellent source of phosphorus). Fish Meal Or Fish Emulsion is a good source of nitrogen and is medium acting. Worm castings, which is gradual absorption. Seabird guano, All purpose Millennia Seabird guano, Orginal Seabird guano All Purpose, Crabshell ,which is slow absorption. Fox Farm Grow Big, which is fast acting. ( can bring down your ph as well)
