CNN video correspondent, Karl Penhaul, follows a family that had been mistakenly caught in an Israeli air strike. The doctor treating the family says that there is phosphorus in the weapons that cause extremely painful burns on it's victims.

Not sure what your point is. That bad shit and mistakes happen in war? That phosphorus hurts? Um, yeah, but I think most of us already knew that.

I agree that war is wrong. If it can be avoided, it should be. I am not, however, a complete pacifist. If some country decides to start lobbing bombs into America, and talking doesn't dissuade them from doing so, then you have two choices: enjoy watching your friends and family get blown up, or do something about it. That's a sad fact of life, that sometimes two groups cannot come to a peaceful solution (usually because one side refuses to), and then you get war.

For example, in World War II, Hitler didn't just roll over all of Europe, because people fought back against being conquered and having a Nazi German government instituted over their own. Yes, they could have just laid down and let the Germans roll over them, and that would have avoided war. Would that have been better? Maybe if you were white, blonde, blue-eyed, not gay, not Jewish, and didn't care about freedom.

As for calling me an idiot and a bigot, I don't really care. Sticks and stones, blah blah. And I think there are enough posts from me that you can tell I'm not an idiot or a bigot. However, Mr. Rense - he's got a posting history too, and it shows what he is just as mine shows what kind of person I am. rense.com is frequently used as a "source" (I use the term VERY loosely) for neo-Nazis and skinheads and conspiracists. It is weird that i just woke up from a series of dreams this morning pertaining to the Armageddon. This thread reminds me of how Jesus Christ spoke that before the coming of the end, "There will be wars and rumours of wars between nations and kingdoms (Matt.24, 6-7; Mark 13,7-8; Luke,21,9-10)", "Orthodox Christians will be delivered up, killed and hated by all nations (Matt. 24,9; Mark 13, 9-11; Luke 21,12-15)". If i am not mistaken, Lebanon and Armenia hold a significant percentage of Orthodox Christians. "9) After this Jews will become Orthodox Christians (Romans 11,25-28)", and so forth. True the first half of the 12 signs have come to pass a long time ago, but what you have to remember is that these are events spread out through the life of the world, and thus cover a great span of time. Its the latter of the 12 signs that would be more significant for our time frame.

Good for them. If someone invaded my country i'd be firing rockets too. Hezbulloh was formed to fight the Israeli occupation years ago. So the responsibility of the creation of Hezbulloh should lie on Israels shoulders.

By the way the use of phosphorus weapons is a violation of International Laws

Well somewhere along the lines of 700 killed and scores more injured, and 100's of thousands displaced in both Lebanon and Israel as well as a humantarian crisis. All for 2 soldiers. The majority of Deaths and injuries in both countries have been civilians. If Israel spared civilians from the brunt of the attack my views would very quickly change

Hard to do though when they set up camp/rocket launchers in civilian areas. Hell, they launch over 100 a day now into Israel...what are they suppose to do?

Not to mention, Lebanon was suppose to have Hezbollah disarmed by now. To bad they sat on their hands for so long. Don't get me wrong, civilian deaths are tragic but what would be the alternative? They can't jsut let Hezbollah just cross the border and kill/kidnap their soldiers. The REAL Lebanon army seems to have it's hands tied, the U.N. is worthless.......

Hey Psycho you seem pretty knowlegable about the conflict, what do you think about the peace plan that would see some of the Hezbulloh fighters as part of the Lebanese military. I believe it was suggested by Condoleeza Rice

I think it's a start. Hezbollah started acting a bit legit by actually participating in elections. If they were to intigrate their people into the Lebanese army I think it would do more for the cause on both sides of the border.

I still don't agree with their basic philosophy but it sure don't hurt to be able to talk to someone at a table instead of across a battle line.
