Tonight, my boyfriend and I are gonna try our hand at cannabis ice cream.

When I was younger and at some kind of art camp, I remember making ice cream with two coffee canisters. Then it hit me...cannabis ice cream!

What you'll need for this recipe:

-A one pound coffee can with a lid
-A three pound coffee can with a lid.
-Rock salt (the kind that you use on a driveway, or sea or coarse salt would work).
-Crushed ice.
-1 beaten egg.
-1/2 cup of white sugar.
-1 pint of cannabis half and half (instructions below).

Chop up your weed, spread it out on a baking sheet and toast it in the oven for about five minutes at around 325, to activate the THC.

Using the double-boiler method, mix the toasted weed and half-and-half. Heat it gently in the same manner you'd make cannabis milk. Strain the half-and-half and chill it in the 'fridge for awhile.

When you're ready to make the ice cream, combine the cannabis cream, beaten egg, and sugar in the one-pound coffee can. Here you can throw in extra stuff - chocolate chips, fruit, whatever. (I wonder if this is gonna look like mint-chocolate chip? I hope nobody in my family mistakes it for such.)
Mix it well.

Place the one-pound coffee can in the three-pound coffee can, and surround the one-pound can with a mixture of crushed ice and rock salt. Seal both lids tightly. If you want to be extra-sure, secure the 3-pounder with some duct tape. Now comes the fun part.

Get whoever you're gonna share the ice cream with, smoke a bowl and sit across from each other on the floor. Roll it back and forth, shake it, dance with it, for about ten minutes. Check to see if it's hardened to your liking - if not, give it another ten minutes. It shouldn't take more than a half-hour of rolling around.

This serves about 4-6 people as normal ice cream, but, as with every cannabis recipe, try small amounts until you see how it's gonna affect you. Scoop it out into a cone, or into a bowl and cover with hot fudge and whipped cream...mmm.
