Hey all

Never been high before, so I bought an eighth of dried weed (not hash) from a trusted mate. Divided it in half, and cooked it into brownies. I ground it up really fine and cooked it in a load of hot butter for about 3 minutes then made 6 brownies out of it. Me and my boyfriend had one each, but nothing happened - the next night we had two but still nothing. What am I doing wrong? Should I only use hash to make brownies? Am I not using enough weed, or should I cook it longer? I don't want to get too high (I've read too many horror stories) but at the moment maybe I'm being a bit too cautious.

Hope someone can help. I've still got a bit of the weed left, and I can't smoke (severe asthma) so I want to know how to cook it up, and some sensible quantities - I'm only making for me and my man. Or maybe I'll just give it back to my mate and invest in some hash.

Anyone got any thoughts? Hope one of you nice people can help me!

your probably not cooking the butter long enough, it should be somewhere around 15 mins. i would double check the canna-butter thread before goin on my advice though

3 mins is definitely not enough. Ask a friend to sit far away, and when he smells it you know it's done.

As always, I suggest the double-boil vegetable oil method. It absorbs most of the weed. Put a pot with boiling water under a smaller pot with 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, unless your boxed recipe suggests otherwise. Slowly mix cannabis into the oil until for about 10 min, until you can smell it in your entire house. Then mix into your favorite brownie/cookie recipe, works like a charm.

I'd say maybe an 1/8 is not enough for 6 brownies either... Especially if you've just used half the 1/8 in the batter.
However, I don't know for sure, never made brownies with the green stuff

You still might be able to smoke even with severe asthma, i have a friend who had to travel out of state to see another doctor because his asthma was so bad but he still smokes down.

edit: I'm not saying go out and smoke a shit load but maybe you should just try it puff by puff at a time.
