Thread: Cannabutter ratio question

Im making some cannabutter using stems and some bud. I know the original recipe calls for 1 oz of bud however im not using just bud so how many stems should i use to equal the oz of herb?

actually you'd be surprised lol. My stems have quite a few trics on them and i always leave some bud attached for some extra potency =p. Anyways, does anyone know how much i should add?

I make hash using bubble bags, water, ice and a mixer........I have tried using stems with not to much luck collecting the trics from just the stems

Now water leaves and sugar leaves are another story.......I love making full melt bubble hash

Hash or cannabutter? I was looking into bubble bags and i think bubble hash would be cool to make. If i use bud to make it how much hash would i get from an oz? Or what do you do to make it? Also, what are these water leaves you guys are talking about? Are you messing around or what I'm not super educated. Anyways I just want to make enough for a personal stash make like a few g's of hash every once in awhile for myself. What would be a good bag setup for that, i don't need anything special.

I watched a video on how to make bubble hash and it looks really good. I mainly plan on using 1lb at MOST ever for making hash. Are 1 gallon bags good enough for that, or would i need bigger? Also, Is it worth it to get 8 bags or just 4? In the video he had 8 bags and got 5 different types of hash. I only want mid grade, good, and high grade however though so will the 4 bag be enough? Thanks alot for the help man im really stoked on getting these. Also i live in socal so is it a bust to buy these online. Will customs be all douchy about it or will it be chill?

When I use the bags... I have 1 gallon and 5 gallon bags....

I do larger runs of just the sucker/water leaf......normally I dry out the leaves and cruch them in a 1 gallon bag freezer bag, when that bag is full... I freeze it for a day.... then run it through the 5 gallon bags.

5-6 ozs of dry crumbled water leaf gives me 6-7 gs of decent hash but its not bubble hash.

Seperate leaves as you or your friend trim the MJ plants, keep all the water leaves and leaves with no visible trics in 1 bag.

Keep the sugar leaf (leaves you trim off that have visible trics/cyrstals) in another bag.......the sugar leaf or bud itself makes the buble hash

Dry and freeze all leaves

For a indica strain 4 bags are plenty...220 160 are filters 73 25 are the catchers.



If you want to do 1 lb at a time... get the 20 gallon bags but then you need a 20 gallon trash can and a drill with mixing bit

Filter bags are not illegal and they ship plain box call they direct too

Also i live in socal so is it a bust to buy these online. Will customs be all douchy about it or will it be chill?

Cool, that sounds great. See the guy in this video used basically just junk from the plants that everyone threw out and got a pretty good amount of hash. It doesn't look like hes using a 20 gallon bucket or bag either but then again idk.
I'm going to be using the same materials as him..pretty much everything except he buds off of my friends dads plants. I was also thinking of using stress or shwag to make it as well...would that produce pretty good stuff?

Wow, hey thanks a lot for the help man. This is perfect. I'm really stoked to get all this going, im probably going to get it this weekend or something. My friends dad offered my all this excess plant trimmings and i can get swhag for dirt cheep and can hopefully get a nice product out of it. I think ill just go with the 5 gallon kit if it can hold up to 5 oz...thats enough for me.

If you take the time and seperate the leaves.......you will get 2 different grades of hash

Water leaves = good hash

Sugar leaves = killer bubble hash.....WARNING "normally a piece of bubble hash the size of a grain of rice will put your dick in the dirt!!!!

A friend came over and I hooked him up with 2 killer hits, 1 piece that size on heated glass.... he got lost on his way home .......SERIOUSLY!!!

Hahahaha too funny. I will for sure invest in these bags, they just look too good to turn down. Thanks for the #'s btw i'm going to call the guy in Carona today probably and get a price.
