heating it makes no difference. Thats more of your own personal preference. By eating it you wont feel it kick in right away like smoking. It will take roughly an hour for you to feel the affects.

I'm not exactly sure of why, I can look for it if you'd like, but, eating THC is not the most effective way of getting high. It's true, it will sneak up on you, but you need more weed for the high.

as for the quickness of getting high from brownies; anytime you ingest a drug it will take longer to feel the effect than a smoked one. the reasons are obvious. when you breath a gas in, it doesn't need to be dissolved and broken down; the oxygen or thc or whatever goes right into the blood stream. but the cannabinoids in the brownies have to be isolated, digested, then infused into the bloodstream. anyway you eat them the process will take a good 45 minutes. I only use baked cannabis for holidays with friends or excursions with the parents when you can't really get away to blaze one and don't want to deal with the smell and so forth
