i have a mini-crock pot called the "Little Dipper"

its designed to keep things like butter, chocolate, cheese melted. there are no settings... .you just plug it in. it keeps butter melted and SLIGHTLY simmering. ive tried grinding up some bud and putting it in (1/8 to 1 stick butter) and let it sit for about 8 hours. it turned a gnarly dark green (almost black when it was in the pot), but when i strained out the butter through cheesecloth it was definitely green.

i made brownies, and ate them, but felt disappointed in the effects (16 total brownies from 1 stick butter batch, and i ate 3 pieces). i got a little stoned, but nothing compared to a good bong rip.

do you think the crock pot is burning out all the THC? or is this still a good way to extract?

HELL YA! you eather over cooked the butter, or didn't use enugh ganja in the mix.

try using a whole package of butter, and like at least a qtr to make brownies. The slow cooking and the even heat distribution makes for perfect extration. You don't want the butter to be black you want it to be a nice dark foresty green, so i would start checking on it after 45 min or so.


i just saw how big it was, fill that thing with cream and butter and as mutch weed as you can let it simmer, and use that to make carmel, or fudge, or brownies.
