Is anyone looking for Co-ops or dispensaries in the Palm Springs / Coachella Valley area?

tried the downtown palm springs one right after getting my recommendation, i live in the IE so it was the closet for me..cute staff, small selection, pricey, and no hook up/free gift for first time patients. I ended up just trying a la confidential joint which was bomb but overpriced and a gram of og, it was definetly good but not the best ive had, too wet. After months of not smoking though it certaintly did the trick. Next time ill just drive out to LA and try out some clubs there.

I live in the high desert haven't tried the Palm Springs dispensary yet, but have heard good things about it. I did however go out to Venice and hooked up with some pretty good Kush. It's right on the Boardwalk, you can sample your purchases while watching to waves crash, pretty cool.

I also live in the High desert and have used KGB meds. The prices never change and the quality is great. The first time I ordered from him he brought my order over within an hour! I like KGB because the owner is not in it to get rich, he is in it to help others that are in need. I wish the prices were cheaper...but they are good considering the delivery service, quality, great service, and that we don't have too many servicing this area.

We need a dispensary up here. I heard there were some but they were closed down, I'm not sure though.

I called that guy Ken, he told me that he was done for the day by 1:00 p.m. and that he didn't come up here (gas cost too much). I tried asking about meeting him down there somewhere and he mumbled something about being done for the day @ 1:00. I don't know about you but most days I don't make it out of bed by 1:00. He did sound very stoned though, I think he might be sampling too much of his product. I just googled KGB I am going to call them now. Thanks Weedy

Let's get the facts straight here - first you asked Ken to deliver to San Diego. Even the geographically challenged should realize that San Diego is not part of the Inland Empire. Then a while later, you tried to get him to meet you in Lake Elsinor and what Ken told you was that, on the Friday before a long weekend, when the freeways around here were at a literal standstill, he wasn't making any more deliveries for the day because the traffic was too bad.

If you have legitimate medical needs, then you should have the foresight to know when you will need meds and plan ahead, not wait until the last minute and hope for the best. But, yesterday you were behaving more like some kid who got a few bucks and just had to score - RIGHT NOW!!! The fact that Ken wasn't willing to spend several hours in traffic just to cater to your whims doesn't give you cause to come on here and insult and disparage him. This is SoCal - there are times when freeway gridlock means no one is going anywhere. Grow up and quit bellyaching just because the gridlock happened to affect you.

I was talking to Ken around 8:30 last night when he got a call and said he had to go out and make a delivery. When I asked why he was going out so late he said because it was a local delivery to a regular patient who was undergoing chemo and really needed the meds. So, ya know, judge not lest you be judged. There's a lot could said about this that would paint you in real less-than-favorable light, so grow up and quit bad mouthing the guy just because he didn't buy into your bullshit.

Desertbuds, I have to say that I found Ken to be a very stand up and good guy. I think you just misinterpreted him. (I think I spelled that correctly!)

If you are in San Diego, I think the info I gave you is incorrect. I believe KGB delivers that far, but it may take longer as he has to be driven as he cannot see. I'm not sure that he does deliver that far though. I didn't want to offer ill advice.

No offense, but it sounds from your posts that you seem to expect more from co-ops than they may be able to provide. The place in downtown PS won't surprise anybody, it's not very large and the last time they added a metal detector wand to the guard. I'm not criticizing them for that, I'm just saying some people expecting a lot might be disappointed at what is offered so I suggest for you not to make the trip.

Personally, I like the place. Good meds that are consistently potent, not a big selection and prices are high, but I don't know of any place in the IE or desert areas with lower prices. The easy drive is worth it compared to sitting in the Los Angeles parking lot freeway system. Staff always seems friendly, so I can't complain

ROFLMAO - Out of roughly 1,650 posts I mentioned once, in a joking manner, that I tested pot for Ken. Get over it! In any event, it would probably boggle your mind to know the amount of bud that is freely passed back and forth among growers. If you want a good bud to sample your bud, you give him/her an 1/8 or 1/4 oz - and they'll turn around and do the same for you. So there's crop samples coming and going in numerous directions and there is little or no economic impact because you tend to get back as much as you give away.

As far as Hesperia/San Diego - I dunno. Either Ken changed the city name to protect your privacy when he told me the story, or he had more than one occurrence of a similar situation on the same day. Regardless, both are a long way from Riverside and, as I said before, everyone knows that there are times when the freeways here are in gridlock and there's no good reason to come on here and make disparaging remarks about ANYONE simply because you are either too stupid or too spoiled to understand that simple fact of life.

And that's my last word on this subject because, truly, sir, you are being childish and inane.
