i've never had enough money to afford medical insurance and have been suffering from severe headaches for over 10 years now. i've tried just about everything legal to help my headaches, but nothing worked well. a friend suggested that i try MJ, i tried it and it is the best thing i tried. my problem is that i have no medical history about my headaches, is it possible for me to get a card? do i have to establish a history through regular doctors?? i really don't like to take pills and chemicals, so i don't know if i can get "legal" or do i have to live like a criminal in order to be pain free? I live in OC and any responses or referalls would be greatly appreciated. thanx for any help or comments in advance!

To be honest, it would have been easier with medical records. But things are as they are, not as we would have them be!

I would suggest checking out NORML's California site- they have a list of cannabis friendly doctors. I would call around- prices vary wildly. Something for you to know, the cheaper the doctor/clinic, the less "picky" they are, as a rule. Medi-cann's name comes up frequently as an easy place to get legal- don't know if you have one in your area or not.

There have been several threads on getting "legal" without medical records. Maybe you could try the "Search" function? Most of the people who tried without medical records have been successful. I imagine someone more local than me will be able to give you a better answer.

thanks for the feedback granny. i've always enjoyed your posts here. i tried the search function, but was looking for some local advice. as a fellow headache sufferer, i know that what we want is just the peace in medicating with out worry. maybe, someday for all sufferers and responsible recreational users this will be a reality. after all its just pot!! thanks again, and i will be pursuing my "legality" with help from you all.

In all of the Medical MJ clinics, you will just need to convince the Doctor {you WILL be seen by a Doctor, and they are all very nice people} that you really have chronic headaches, and that you are not trying to scam them. Bring any old prescription bottle {with your name on it}, if you have one.
You WILL have to pay the fee {average is $100.-$150.}.
