Thread: what happens when you die?

it seems there has been alot of death around me lately and it got me wondering, what happens

is there heaven, or hell

do you know that you are dead or are you just gone forever

are you conscious? do you just rot away and thats the end of all the experiences you will ever have, or is there something else?

i wish i knew man but i thought i would just post this and get some of your thoughts

me personally i have no idea, but i refuse to believe we just die and thats it i think something happens but im not sure what

The brain is like a machine, or a computer. When you die, it no longer functions, and you're done with. Not a bad thing, really.

I always wondered about what happens after you die too. I did hear the same thing as above from my high school chemistry teacher.

Yea, we'll probably never know. I personally believe that when you die, you're completely unconscious with no idea who you are and what you did in your past life and then you are reborn, not necessarily as a human, but as anything. The human race is so fascinating it's insane and creepy.

Hopefully ill be ploped into Ganja Heaven, and ill have a blunt in my ear when I walk through the Bud Gates.

I dont know, I beleive there is an after life. But I also think that it is not what everyone thinks of it as. No in a bad way, just different.

Can you wake up dead?

when ur dead your dead,but why are u wondering if there is an afterlife?.what about out side the universe billions upon billions of miles.u think it just stops?theres a cement wall?lolmakes me wonder

That brings up an interesting point. Do you think that people can dream when they're dead, but just never wake up? Sounds very unlikely considering that the brain does absolutely nothing when you're dead, but it's interesting.

I was thinking the same thing the other day.......what if you had electrical charges pumped through your brain when you're dead.......technically you should be able to dream right? To dream for the rest of eternity would be amazing.

i had a friend in high school who thought about death and the mysteries of the human race all the time. He believe that you have a shitload of energy flowing through you while you're alive and that it has to go someplace when you died, he could never figure out where though.

Maybe its passed on to a new life? Ya know....the moment you die a kid is born sorta thing

That's so trippy. Sometimes I don't like thinking about that kind of stuff because it kind of seems like a waste of time since no one knows. It's cool to think about it though when you're high because you get really into it. I've had some pretty deep conversations about it when I've been blitzed.

That brings up an interesting point. Do you think that people can dream when they're dead, but just never wake up? Sounds very unlikely considering that the brain does absolutely nothing when you're dead, but it's interesting.

That is assuming one still has a brain, or even a head, while they are dead. Given that, I don't see it as logical. But that DMT thing sounds cool, that whole "eternal last minute". then again, how eternal can something feel if your brain gets blown apart?

Yea, I really wasn't thinking of someone w/o a head at the time haha. That makes death even more of a mystery.

Yeah me too man. The only problem is remembering it the conversations after the session hehe. I heard that us humans only use 11 percent of our brains....... the other 89% could contain anything. All that extra space must be used for something, maybe it only activates when we die.

There was a doctor and medical scientist, during the French Revolution, who was arrested for some reason and sentenced to the guillotine. He told one of his protégés to observe his eyes after his head was cut off, because he wanted to conduct a final experiment, by blinking his eyes, to see if the brain was still conscious.
