Euro 2008 (OLÉ!!)
I can't believe there isn't a thread on this...
I was shocked yesterday when the world champions fell to Holland. 3-0 walloping... That and the Portugal game fucked up my pool (5 buk iz 5 buk) I have them both in the final, Italy taking it on PKs.
Personally, I think they should let Brazil into the competition, since there's already half a team of brazilians already playing in said comp. (we'd win fo sho)

Yeah been a great start to the game, lets hope it continues.
I hope the spaniards have a good tourney, usually good to watch until they have a bit of bad luck somewhere along the road and seem to let their heads go down and give up.

Looking good, they're gonna have to commit suicide 2nd half for Russia to have a chance.

Yeah, spaniards were just too good for them.
Lets hope there's plenty more games like that one to come!

Portugal, Spain and Holland look good. I think Italy will pick themselves up and go through. France were useless against Romania.
I tip Spain to win it even though they are constant underachievers in the big tournaments.

italy's whole strategy is a rock-solid defense and they just didnt have it in that game. donadoni has to sit matrix, hes just not at that level anymore. holland surprised me but i guess if you come out hungry to play, anything can happen.
i think spain's up and comers are finally gonna give them a chance this year... fab, el nino, villa, silva are all hungry to make names for themselves.
as a gunners fan, i agree w fab -- villa would look great in an arsenal jersey.
cheers

Italy had some good chances against the Dutch. The ball just didn't seem to run for them in front of goal. Saying that the Dutch deserved to win.
I forgot to add Germany to my list of teams playing well.

So the porkchops are beating the czechs... although they're not looking too solid in defence to hold this on goal lead

I can't see Sweden winning. There are too many stronger teams. Mind you Greece won it last time and they weren't the best team.
Good luck.
