    Hey peeps,

Lots of 'my plant is sick' questions as always... and I realize that a lot of new growers aren't even fully aware of the types of things that they need to take into consideration when asking for advice, so I made a list of the common ones.

If you have a problem, go ahead and cut-and-paste this list into your post to make it easier for the growers here to help you.

Don't worry about answering every question, but the more information you give, the faster and more accurately we can help solve your problems!

    Happy growin'.

I remember you were commenting on someone who took pics of his plants (a little research and I might find who he was and the thread, can't remember right now). For each plant he had a top view and a side view. If I remember, you said that this was a good way to take pictures as it's easy to how the plant looks and see different symptoms if any. Maybe you wanna include that in the form? As well as any close up pictures they might want to take of specifically what they noticed.

    Anyways nice form.

I often find a shot of the underside of affected tissue can be helpful.

Congrats, Ms Moderator Lady- I cower in fear of your mighty ban button:thumbsup:

Please do not post your plant problems in this thread. Start a new thread, and copy the questions into the new thread to answer them. Otherwise it turns into pure confusion! :D

Please remember this is a sticky, not a place to discuss individual problems. The only reason it is still open for posting is in case you guys need clarification on items in the form, etc.

    Please refer to post #9.
Questions pertaining to YOUR grow and not to the troubleshooting process itself belong in YOUR thread. Thank you.

I don't get how to use it. What with all the letters in fron of the question. Please explain how this works. How do you use this once someone else has filled it out.

So, if it says E : indoor or outdoor, everyone needs to answer this E=everyone.

If it says HCL-Hydro/aero/soilless system type, you answer if your are growing hydro (h), if you use coco (c), or if you do soilless (L). If you grow in soil, you don't have to answer this.

You cannot diagnose with pictures alone because some problems look like others, and there may be a combination of problems.

Read through some plant problems threads, and you can see how important both pictures and the form are.

We've had a new problem (to us). Reddish-brown spots are appearing in the center area of the middle leaves in our veg room. These are dead tissue, and the affected leaves show curling. Doesn't seem to me to be an insect or nutrient problem, but I don't know how to diagnose or treat this slowly spreading.....

Guys this is a sticky.....you won't get much help here on the end of this sticky. Take the questions and answer them with your own thread in Plant problems.....Start a NEW thread stating your problem and answering the questions. This thread is just to show you what info we need.

I promise you'll get much more help that way..

    good luck.
