I have a chance to get some cookies kush from Barney's Farm which I am not familiar with and before I invest 3/4 months (not to mention the electricity) on these girls I would really appreciate some feedback from anyone who has knowledge about this strain.

I got six beans from herbies of barneys cookies, NOT a single bean opened yet my freebies did and so did the other beans i got.. They look like shite too!

I should have learnt my lesson from their so=called Tangerine Dream that turned out to be a Nightmare. (took ages and didnt even taste hazy)

But I got caught up in the hype and have now learnt my lesson. All eyes are starting to point to USA now as far as I am concerned as Humboldt seeds do what they say. Just got some moxie710 snake venom (vpier city x gorilla glue #4) cant wait!!!

    Good look tho bro!

Yeah.. it grows way longer than other strains.. is it possible that they stopped growing on 69 day, because of hot temperatures (indoor)?
I have smoke it before.. :D it is amazing...it has like 24% of thc .... i love how it smells like cookies (i use vaporiser)..

I grew out cookies kush last round, and tangerine dream the last 2 rounds. Both ended up much better than others are reporting here. TD is a very viney and gangly plant that will quickly get out of control. She absolutely must be tamed in the flower tent and wrapped up or netted to hold her weight up to the light. If you can give her what she needs, the smoke that results from her is so strong it is debilitating. I use it for a smoke and dream... i would not smoke this strong strain if I had anything I wanted to get done.
As for cookies kush, it is ok. It produced hard fragrant buds that smelled wonderful, tasted exotic and frankly, stacked up against some of the other strains I have been growing lately, just a novelty smoke with a bit of a kick to it. I wouldn't put the stone up there with the best, but the sweetness and pleasantness of the thick aromatic smoke makes up for it. This for me is a conversational smoke, or for after dinner when you want your guests to be lively, happy and not drifting off to zone out land.

Growing time, Cookies Kush finished first in my tent, and early finisher at 7 weeks. Tangerine Dreams takes a good 8-9 weeks to finish out correctly, and develop those classic red/orange trichomes.

But what can i do if only 30% of those trichomes are red? i think that its not ready... is it okay to harvest, because it was more than 9 weeks?

by the time 30% of your trichomes are red, you are over-ripe... and some of those red ones are turning black and dying and you are actually losing overall potency at that point. 5-10% amber is where I harvest... no more than 20%.

thanks... do you think that high temperatures could damage the plant? about 29° to 33°

To answer that, I went into my flower tent yesterday afternoon to check the temperature with the house air conditioning and the lights off. It was 94°F/34°C in there... I was happy and so were the plants. Some nights it is so nice here it is a shame to run the air-conditioning, so I open the windows and let nature in to air out the house. During those times I have also checked how hot the bloom tent gets with 1200w of light going and nothing but fans moving the heat out of there... The hottest I have seen has been 96°/35°, and that was when it was near 80/26 outside. Again, I have not felt the need to stress... these are tropical plants.

Yes, you hear all the time how 79°F/26°C is optimum, and that is definitely when you get the very most growth possible with these plants... but...
is it worth all the trouble and expense to be this exact? I say no. Look at these plants in my veg tent right now... It is almost always over 90°/ 32° under all those T5's. They are not suffering.

many of us for security reasons will not click on external links like photobucket. It is possible to upload picture files to this board... they just have to be the right size. I will make an exception here... but I don't like doing it.

Well, bad news... I looked at teh first picture and had determined that it didn't look ready to me, and then that nasty virus wanting you to upgrade your windows popped up. I left the screen and ran my virus program to clean up the damage.

based on that quick look, you buds still had white pistils at the top and the buds did not look to be rock hard and chunky like I look for... that plant was still in flower... are you still feeding nutes to them?? You really need to stop feeding them at the end... water only for the last two weeks, and they get the message and finish out very nicely. There are some nutes that you can give that will keep your plant flowering indefinitely...

It requires a leap of faith at the end... you have to trust the breeder, and plan your nute regimen according to how long they say the plant will go. In an 8 week plant, if you have not given it everything it needs by the end of week 6, you have been doing it all wrong.

Please work on resizing your pictures and posting them here. The picture i posted above was reduced in Paint to 500 pixels wide.... I suspect we can go a bit higher than that.

Here is an experiment of picture size. This is my sugar black rose, about a week away from harvest, and going into its second week of water only, at 1024 pixels sbr a week away_1024.jpg .

I am really sorry for that.. I was using photobucket for the first time, cuz i thought it was the safest method of posting pictures.. So i am not giving them nutritions from 54 day of the whole process.. Overly ran water is below 2000 ppm.. i don't know what to do.. they have been like this for 1 week.. Ohh.. and it's 75 day already....
