Hi this is my first grow, I just checked my PH level and its HIGH. It looks to be about 8. I haven't picked up PH Down yet but I have some PH Decreaser I use for my Pool.... Does this work or are there other chemicals in it I need to worry about?

Not too sure about that stuff, can't quite read the label. But you can get aquarium stuff that's safe for fish and plants at Petsmart and places like that for $6 or so.

That's probably ok in a pinch, but not so good for long term use as the salts may remain in the soil.

Sodium is toxic to our plants FYI! Pick up a phosphorus based pH down and you will accomplish two things that our plants love! ;)
