    Chaos = opportunity.
This can be a good thing.

    You have several options.

My choice would be to relocate the male before it drops pollen.
Let it mature elsewhere, collect the pollen and use it to pollinate a lower branch on a female or two.
That will yield hundreds of dollars worth of seeds for your next grows.

If you don't have "danglers" it has yet to spooge.
If it has danglers, you can limit the damage by spraying everything with tap water.
    That will kill the pollen.
    Worst case?
    You will have seeded buds.
They will still be potent and medicinal.
You just have to pick the seeds out to use it.
NBD. When I started smoking weed, it was all heavily seeded.
We used to dry it, crumble it, and roll the seeds out in a shoebox top, or an album cover.

    And you still gain seeds.
    @ $5 ea. you scored.
All for the cost of a little inconvenience.

    Aloha,

Re-reading, I note that these were mother plants.
So we are talking hermie, yah?
That means the seeds from the other "moms" will be feminized.
The seeds on the hermie will be female also, but may have a tendency to herm.

    Not to worry.
If you spray the moms , and the room with tap water, the pollen will be long gone by the tine there are pistils to pollinate.

I've read that hermies can produce feminized seeds. I've also read they can produce more hermies. I got a hermie this year (outside) and plan on planting a dozen seeds this spring (I got some 80 seeds) and keeping maybe five or so plants. I've got a 1/2 acer and will keep them some 40-50' away from my main crop and we'll see. And no, no other females produced seeds near the hermie (I was worried!) but I was busy almost daily pinching off them balls! Even with the seeds the smoke is pretty good. No complaints and interesting tests next year.

    Am I reading this right?
We are discussing seeds on VEG plants?

    What's the world coming to?

    Mia culpa.
I missed the Mother plants bit.
In my defense, I have pollen on the mind.

I'm trying to annoy a very stable female Ice Breaker enough to pop a few stamens.
(Interrupting flower times with 660 nm. laser, tellin' her lies, makin' her write bad checks . . .)

Only had one I. B. seed and she turned out to be a keeper. Took some cuts of course, and have made a momma, but I would like to have some seeds.
    How come?
Been readin' about breedin' and have started some Acapulco Gold, and some Skunk #1 as basics.
And, I think my Gainesville Green genetics have some exploitable properties.
The Ice breaker has everything you could want except resistance to WPM.
The G. G has almost everything and is resistant.

The more I read, the more fraught with peril this quest appears.
Meh, I'm in it for the journey. :)

    Sorry for the Hijack.

    Aloha,
    Weeze

Feel free to borrow my eyes any time you need my friend. They have seen many a hand of poker, and many a chess table.
