So my first 30 plants i never had any issues with overwating or too many nutrients or bugs or anything (they are 5weeks into flower now YAY). but 1 month ago i got thrips in both veg and flower rooms and noticed a ton of yellowing/browning/dying leaves on the lower branches, so i treated with Doktor Doom bombs in both according to perfect square footage and then hit both rooms again after 5 days. All thrips are dead, even the eggs! but i'm still seeing yellowing/browning/dying leaves on the lower branches! i trim them off every single plant, but about 2 days later they are back! wtf is going on here?! I thought it was from the thrips, but, now that they've been gone for 2 weeks, i'm still having this issue. i thought it was supposed to be normal in the flower room because that's what i've heard plants do when they start to focus on budding....but why is it happening to my veg room(48 plants, tad crowded!)? veg plants are 4 months old. and were flushed barely a month ago, but i've had this problem for 3 weeks. i don't see any purpling on stems to indicate nutrient burn, everything looks perfect except those stupid leaves! HELP PLEASE! i've also inspected throughly for any more bugs/mold/fungus and even looked up my leaves in the Medical Growers Bible but to no avail. The leaves look like almost every other yellowing/browning/dying leaf pic/thread in this forum, but i don't have the same issues/condition as they do.

any ideas/thoughts would be great! Thanks in advance!

Just finish the grows and get the next one going. Sounds like just plain stressed plants. It could be lack of light or water also.

    not enough?

four 1000watt hps and watering every other day? you don't think that's enough? i will continue to keep growing them, 48 plants is too many to just let die. but i'd really like any other helpful ideas...anyone please?

If the newer growth looks fine and it's just the lower fan leaves, it could possibly be just a natural occurrence....(not saying that it is). Just saying because you say you have some going on 4 months of veg....4 months is a pretty long time for them to be vegging indoors....but this is why I say it could be a natural aging process of the plant(s)....unless it looks like something is really wrong....got any pics??? Would really help us help you...

Throwing the age out there because my mother plants lower fan leaves yellow and die off, doesn't mean something is wrong....

If you've checked all other possibilities, then maybe it could be the age....

    Just my :twocents:....

i took a closer look and i did see a bit of purpling coupled with a touch of necrosis, which is classic nitrogen and phosphorus def. so i fed them blood meal in combination with bio nutrients to bump up both. so now i play the waiting game 3-4 days to see what that does. meanwhile i desperately need more room to pin down branches so they can fill in a bit, but i have 48 plants tall as my tits in a 10'x10' room. i don't have a bigger room to put them in, any sort of arrangements possible to give each plant more space? How long does one usually veg for? my flowering (30 plants) were in veg for almost 4 months but they didn't get this big? i wonder if it's because of the lack of space, forcing the 48 plants to grow up instead of out. oh and also, if plants are suppposed to be in flower for 6 weeks, does pre-flower count as part of that time?, or should i even bother pre-flowering at all?
