First off, I bought these lights as I plan to expand and get more than 12 plants going at once.

Is a 1000w MH and a 1000HPS on a 4x8 ft table with full ventilation, intake exhaust monitoring temp at 75degrees consitently and 30% humidity overkill?

I heard the more lights the better as long as you can expell the heat. Does this hold true with my setup?

Thanks guys. Great info here and its been very helpful.

    sounds great on the temps/ventilation...

do you have good ceiling height?...4-5 foot tall plants need about another 20 inches from the canopy to the light...unless, cool tubes are used.

you'll be good, if you adhere to the basic '50-watts per square foot' plan ... and, yes, you can have too much light, too ... I have only experienced 'light-bleaching' once, but it can sure happen (see pic) ... I also recommend a minimum of 2 sq.ft. of floor space per plant ... :smokin:

I have 8ft ceilings. I have the lights on those adjustable "yoyo's" so I can adjust them as high as a foot from the ceilings. The lights I have are a bulb inside a glass tube with reflector on top. The lights are both vented also. Was thinking about growing plants 2.5ft than going to flowering stage.

Does that all sound like a plan?
