My daughter is getting married in Jamaica next spring- in Negril- I am looking for a good private place to stay NOT A RESORT- it doesn't have to be in Negril I can travel to the wedding- where have you been in Jamaica and what suggestions do you have based upon personnel experience

what type of accomodations are you looking for? prices range from a shared room at $20 per night to a nice secure private room for $200. In Negril you have the beach area where many of the large resorts are located or the Negril Cliffs which are home to many of the more laid back casual places. I suggest you look at Negril Escape or Heartbeat Jamaica for a nice private place on the cliffs. I've stayed at both places and had a wonderful time at both. negril escape has some great diving right from their location and a very nice pool if you dont want to swim in the ocean
