Hi everyone, I know it is a long shot but I want to attempt to get a permit for medical marijuana. Im not just some stoner who wants to do it legally, I really believe marijuana has improved my quality of life. I used to get migraines with focal aura (visual distubances) regularly from the time I was 10-17. I also suffered from severe depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. I started smoking marijuana for recreational purposes around age 16 and have been smoking daily since age 17. I am now 24, and not only have I not had one single migraine (knock on wood) since then, I no longer have issues with depression and my OCD is very much under control (I still have little things with it, but not like I did before the marijuana). Also, I have been told that when I do NOT smoke, I am a raging bitch. Someone suggested to me that I try to obtain a permit here in washington. I dismissed the idea for a while because I have had no issues with just doing it on the down low in the privacy of my home (which I understand would be the same gig with a permit). However now after much more thought, I think it is worth at least attempting. I honestly have no idea how to start this process, as I have no primary care physician and therefore my issues have not been well documented. (Other than at planned parenthood, where they know I cant have estrogen birth control because of the migraines). I have heard of traveling clinics for medical mj but im not sure if this is fact or myth. Any tips, advice etc. is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
